CEILING CONSTRUCTION   CONSTRUCTION: In one-storey buildings the ceilings can be made with the help of ceiling panels. In two-storey constructions a so-called grill type is made, which acts as carrier for the second level. The latter represents an opposite arrangement of galvanized steel profiles, reciprocally fastened to each other and to the carrier walls. COATINGS Regarding to ceilings the concept is developed in several directions. The choice of coating is connected directly to several factors: - height of the room - existence of a second floor - type of lighting - type of heating Let's start with an ordinary white ceiling. This is a standard execution with gypsumboard, which in its turn is attached to the ceiling panels. The colour of the ceiling is of no consequence whatsoever. Experience has shown that the white ceiling gives the impression of a higher room. At the same time the ceiling lighting creates a better reflective ability and a better illumination of the whole room. However, this is not the case with the dynamic load in two-storey buildings. The reason being that in this kind of houses, the plate between the two storeys is a grill type and there is almost no possibility for a crack to appear between the separate panels of the gypsumboard. Another relevant fact is whether there will be pipes or air conduits passing through the ceiling which will take care of the upper floor heating. All these factors' selection brings about the choosing of one really good solution.
